PechaKucha Nights
unexpected talent, unexpected ideas

Pecha Kucha Night is an international phenomenon that brings creatives together for an evening of quick-fire “show and tell” presentations. The idea behind Pecha Kucha Night is to have many people sharing their ideas, thoughts, works within the course of one night. Therefore the 20×20 Pecha Kucha format was created: 20 images. Each shown for 20 seconds. 6 minutes 40 seconds per presenter. 14 presenters. 1 memorable night.

PKN started in Tokyo in 2003 by two Tokyo-based architects who have combined PowerPoint with the notion of a visual poetry slam. PKN now happens in over 300 cities around the globe.

Breakhouse Inc (an amazing Halifax-based interdisciplinary design firm) hosts PKN in Halifax with the co-ordination support of co*LAB. Another is always coming up soon .. if you want to be a presenter, drop us a note!
